Luis J. Echarte
Luis J. Echarte is Vice President and Director of International Relations, Investor Relations and Sustainability at Grupo Salinas.
He serves on various advisory boards such as Punto Casa de Bolsa, Signum Research, Purpose Financial USA, Grupo Elektra, Seguros Azteca and The Aspen Institute Latino and Society USA. He is also a member of the Chief Executives' Organization, CEO, and Young & World Presidents' Organization, YPO-WPO.
Additionally, he is General Director of the Ricardo Salinas’ Family Office at Grupo Salinas, and provides mentoring and coaching to senior executives of the Group.
He was Chief Executive Officer of Azteca America, as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fundación Azteca America. He also served as Chief Financial Strategy Officer of Grupo Salinas, TV Azteca and Grupo Elektra.
Furthermore, he was CEO and President of Bacardi Imports, Inc. where he successfully introduced a variety of new products, diversifying the company in the North American market, earning recognition from The Wall Street Journal as one of the best new products of 1986.
Mr. Echarte is the author of two books that relate anecdotes of his personal and professional life: "Recomenzar: un modo de vivir" and "La Habana de mi abuelo" (My Grandfather's Havana). He is also the author of the book "Finding Balance in a Changing World", which discusses the importance of coaching and the necessary skills to excel in the workplace.
